Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Examine the roles of financial institutions and their relationship with personal and corporate finance decision making.

Describe the purpose, key players and specific industry developments in the regulatory frameworks of the finance sector and their inter-relationships.

Apply ethical business thinking in financial practice.
4.
Apply financial theory to real world corporate and personal financial decisions.
5.
Employ the concepts of time value of money and perform valuation of cash flows including annuities, perpetuities, amortised loans, bonds, and shares.
